The Green Solar Finance team members have successfully advised and closed financings for solar and other renewable businesses as well as traditional power companies, providing our clients with unparalleled experience and access to all the key players in the industry.  The $800 million in solar financings by our team includes over $400 million in solar pipeline programs, $350 million in a pool of solar projects, and in excess of $73 million for individual solar projects.  We have also completed financings for other types of renewable energy including biomass, wind and waste conversion.  In traditional power, our team has advised many major U.S. and foreign utilities and power companies.  This excludes the billions of dollars in transactions we have closed outside the energy sector.

Major U.S. Transmission Company Restructuring

Led the development and implementation of an enterprise-wide asset management program for all transmission and distribution assets in Canada.  Prioritization of capital investment and O&M programs were established.  Significant reductions in expenditures with reliability improvements at the same time.

Major U.S. Power Generation Company Restructuring

Restructured the supply chain management and asset management, along with development of the overall business case that was deployed across top ten power company, including nuclear, gas, coal and alternative fuel power plants.

Restructured supply chain management function across combined two major generation companies in process of merger in their operations.  Led the post-merger initiative for the supply chain function which rationalized and standardized the supply chain business processes, which eliminated more than $150 million in costs and is targeted for future mergers.

Renegotiated new contracts and pricing for firm with largest customer, GM, which provided a key precursor for one of the shortest pre-packaged bankruptcies in history.  Increased EBITDA from less than 3% to more than 12%, established metals indexing and quality management across entire product line to enable sustainable customer programs.
